Our multi-disciplinary allied health team are experts in preventing, diagnosing and treating various conditions and illnesses.

What is allied health? Simply put, it is the health professionals who are not medical doctors or nurses. They specialise in a variety of areas to improve your overall quality of life. The allied health team provide an important role in Unicopia’s holistic approach to improving quality of life for our community.

The Allied Health Services we currently offer

Physiotherapy – Our physio will assess & develop a personal plan to improve &/or maintain mobility, fine and gross motor skills, balance, fitness & overall quality of life. Our physio is a qualified & experienced neuro-physiotherapist, who can further assist with rehabilitation, spinal injuries, neurological conditions, and so much more. Exercise physiology – Our exercise physiologist will work closely with you to implement an exercise routine recommended by the physio. We offer this in a range of settings, such as in your own home, in the Unicopia premises, at a gym, or an outdoor recreational setting. These sessions can individual, small groups of up to 3 participants or larger groups.

Social Work – Our social worker will customise their service to the participant depending on the needs. This includes but is not limited to accessing emergency housing, developing skills to enhance the participant & their families well being, support in accessing community services.
